Railcar scales for BNBC JSC

Four sets of railcar scales have been commissioned for BNBC JSC (jointly with CITIC Construction, for the Belarusian National Biotechnology Corporation): two foundation-free four-platform railcar scales for static and in-motion weighing and two foundation-free two-platform railcar scales, plus a hardware-and-software system for weighing on all four scales.

Capabilities: weighing of virtually the entire railcar fleet both statically and in motion, including tank cars with liquid cargo; automatic weighing without operator involvement; photo and video logging of the process; railcar number recognition; record keeping and archiving.

Installation of railway scales in 24 hours

Client: Infida LLC, Rudensk, Minsk Region.

Sakha-prom installed railway scales for static and in-motion weighing. The foundation-free scales were installed in 24 hours (3 days of 8 hours each). The track was closed for 3 working days. A time-lapse video of the installation process is available.

Scales installed on a front loader

Client: Belpollogistics. Scales were installed on a Hitachi ZW250 front loader for the company. Thanks to the scales, the time needed to load coal into railway cars has been reduced considerably, and the risk of overloading or underloading the cars has been eliminated.

The installation involves mounting an ET instrument, a contactless position sensor and a pressure sensor on the boom lift hydraulic cylinder. Weighing is performed automatically as the boom is raised: the display shows both the current weight in the bucket and the weight of the material already loaded into the railcar.

Static railcar scales for Vitebskoblgaz

Static railway scales in an explosion-proof version have been commissioned for Vitebskoblgaz - the second set of scales purchased by this customer. The foundation-free scales passed initial verification. A hardware-and-software system for automatic railcar weighing and photo logging was installed.

Static and in-motion railcar scales for Minsk Tractor Works

Foundation-free static and in-motion railcar scales have been installed for Minsk Tractor Works. The scales provide high-accuracy static weighing with commercial accounting and photo logging, as well as weighing of a moving train - the entire train is weighed in a few minutes, after which the operator receives a report with the weight of each railcar.

A hardware-and-software system was installed for video logging of the weighing, archive keeping and process automation.

Relocation of foundation-free railcar scales
Projects8 September 2017

Relocation of foundation-free railcar scales

Client: Zhitkovichi Peat Briquette Plant. Previously installed foundation-free static and in-motion railcar scales were relocated due to expansion of production - after 2 years of operation the scales had to be moved to a new site.

The scales retained their metrological characteristics after reinstallation and required no recalibration, which was confirmed during the scheduled verification - this confirms that the design is insensitive to ground settlement. All work was carried out during the plant's scheduled shutdown. In-motion weighing accuracy is +/-0.5%.
