The scales arrive on site fully assembled: platforms with the load cells, stops and electronics already fitted. Installation and commissioning therefore take 3 days from delivery and notice that the site is ready, and the foundation-free version is set on reinforced concrete sleepers in 2–3 working shifts.
Installation supervision, commissioning, operator briefing and handover of the scales to the state verification officer are included in the price of the equipment.
The customer supplies the list of railcars and the cargo type: the railcar database then determines the number of platforms and their layout so that weighing needs no uncoupling.
The design documentation is prepared and approved by Belarusian Railways, and a permit for work in the track is issued.
The track is removed on the installation section and a crushed-stone bed (foundation-free version) or a foundation is prepared.
The modules are set with lifting machinery and levelled; the track is restored across the platforms and the inter-platform gap.
Power and low-current cables are run to the operator room, and the weight terminal and the hardware-and-software system equipment are installed.
The scales are calibrated with a test weight car, the software is configured, the operators are briefed, the scales are handed over to the state verification officer and the paperwork is completed.
