On-board weighing system

A system of Sakha-prom's own design for forklifts and similar machines with a hydraulic lifting system. It measures the pressure in the hydraulics as the load rises, so the weight appears on screen during normal work — no separate weighing step is needed.

Readings, load records and reports live in the LOADCONTROL Mobile Android app: it counts the lifts, totals the loaded weight and ties it to a vehicle, an order, a material and a counterparty.

Installation

How the system is fitted to a forklift

The pressure sensor is tapped into the lift hydraulics through a fitting (tee or flange), the position sensors and the processing module are mounted on the mast, the communication module on the frame, and the phone in the cab.

Accuracy depends on the condition of the hydraulics, the configured weighing angle and how carefully the operator works.

Technology

Mast tilt compensation

The on-board weighing system is fitted with an inclinometer of Sakha-prom's own design, mounted on the forklift mast. A proprietary algorithm compensates for the error caused by mast tilt of up to 10 degrees.

The operator does not have to level the mast perfectly before every lift — the scale accounts for the tilt on its own and still shows an accurate weight.

The screen shows the system status (mode, link, GPS), the current mast angle and the weight on the forks, the number of lifts and the total loaded weight, plus the vehicle number, order number, site, material type and counterparty.
